  1. Preferred earlier designs

Prefer the look of the earlier designs, looks to have been over simplified withbthe 2017 design. Thumb scroll wheel should be in addition to not instead of traditionally placed scroll wheels.

  2. Let me know when the price comes down.

I can see $100 for an excellent keyboard, but not $500...a little crazy if you ask me. But I'll be keeping an eye out.

Some businesses who have come up with really great ideas, have priced themselves right out of business. In economics there is the law of supply versus demand...granted, you have the only supply, but you are not recognizing the demand that is there if you price too high. If you sell 1 at $500, or 10 at $100, which makes you more money?

Look at software...Microsoft learned this lesson, Adobe did not. Microsoft no longer gets hacked,…

  3. try a different key layout.

QWERTY is nowhere near the most efficient key layout. Since people have to get used to the key mouse anyway, would you consider an alternative key layout such as Dvorak?

  6. Software laser control for left and right 'mouse'

Allow the mouse laser for the left and right mouse to be turned on and off through the software (using a keystroke) instead of just physical switches underneath the device.
This would allow easy switching between left and right handed configurations on the fly.

  7. I'm a bit confused by some of the information on the site

I use two (and will grow to three in the next year) ultra wide monitors on a Mac Pro. The monitors currently give me 5260 x 1080. No matter how you work the slow vs. fast settings for mouse, there is always be a need to pick up the mouse to reposition it on the keyboard tray or desk. I see the same issue with the KeyMouse. Eventually, the position of the pointer input device will not jive with the position of the pointer and the surface area.

I see in your FAQ that you didn't plan to produce a…

  10. Yellow and Blue function keys make relevant keys lighting change color to yellow and blue accordingly.

When using the "Fn Yellow" or the "Fn Blue" keys make relevant keys lighting change color to yellow and blue accordingly.

  11. FN Yellow can provide common programming keys in LH

I notice that the RH layout for FN Yellow is very close to the ErgoDox EZ "Coder Layer" (see https://ergodox-ez.com/pages/our-firmware). Can the LH for FN Yellow also have a similar mapping? These keys are used all the time in programming, and it would be nice if access to them could be made easier.

  12. More effeciant ways

You could have the keys pop in and out like stiff lego or have them screw out. Any other ideas?

  13. trackball

gaming grade trackball version. has to be gaming grade though because productivity trackballs just can compete against gaming mice. or maybe try trackpads.

  14. Concern about the arrow keys.

As a current user of the Kinesis Ergo, and the 3M Renaissance Mouse, I am very much in-line with this concept. I am pretty concerned about the arrow keys not being accessible to anything but one thumb. Using the arrow keys in rapid succession is a very common gesture. Having to do that with one thumbs seems very awkward and slow.

  18. Location of the control on alt keys

Your best precedent for keyboard layout for this is the Kinesis Ergo Advantage keyboard, which I have been using for nearly 2 decades. One of the great advantages of the Kinesis keyboard is that is loads up both thumbs with the most important keys, including control and alt, and unloads the pinkies, which are the weakest and most awkward digits to use, especially in key combinations, like copy / paste. I want this keyboard / mouse thing to work, because I would likely be an early customer. With many years or experience with a similar key layout, the control keys…

  19. In the programming software it would be great to see what the key is programmed to perform.

If I'm using keymouse in Solidworks I would like to keep the programming software open(screen two) so I can see what I have the button programmed for. When I switch to a new map I can quickly see what that layer is programmed for such as sketch, feature, assembly or drawing commands. If the programming software shows the key that it's programmed to duplicate that doesn't help me. I need to see the note that I would create with each key to know what command it is performing.
